The JET GH-1440-3 14" x 40" Gear Head Engine Lathe (JT1-2710) is engineered for shops that require the durability of a traditional geared head lathe with the added control and torque consistency of 3-phase power.

Driven by a 3 HP, 230V, 3-phase motor, the GH-1440-3 features a geared head transmission with 16 spindle speeds ranging from 45–1800 RPM, giving operators greater low-speed torque for threading and heavy cuts while maintaining smooth finishing capability at higher RPMs.

The 2" spindle bore increases bar capacity and reduces secondary operations, allowing shops to handle larger stock efficiently. A D1-5 camlock spindle nose ensures secure chuck mounting and reliable concentricity during heavy turning applications.
