The JET GH-1880ZX is engineered for heavy fabrication environments where extended bed length and uncompromising rigidity are critical. With 80 inches between centers, this long-bed lathe expands your ability to machine structural shafts, hydraulic cylinders, rollers, threaded rods, and large industrial components in a single setup.
The 18" swing provides generous diameter clearance, while the 3.15" spindle bore allows larger material to pass directly through the headstock — reducing cutoffs, minimizing re-chucking, and improving workflow efficiency on long stock.
Powered by a 10HP, 3-phase motor, the GH-1880ZX delivers consistent torque for aggressive roughing passes and sustained heavy cuts. The one-piece cast iron base absorbs vibration and resists deflection under load, supporting better surface finish and dimensional consistency across long workpieces.
Twelve spindle speeds (26–1500 RPM) provide flexibility for deep roughing, precision threading, boring, grooving, and finish turning applications. The extended bed and increased swing over gap (25.6") offer additional versatility when working with oversized components.
