The JET GH-2180ZX represents the maximum-capacity offering in the ZX Large Spindle Bore lineup — engineered for shops that demand the largest swing, extended bed length, and uncompromising industrial strength.
With an expansive 21" swing and 80" between centers, the GH-2180ZX is built to machine large-diameter shafts, rollers, hydraulic cylinders, structural components, and oversized industrial parts with confidence and stability. This machine is designed for high-mass workpieces and fabrication environments where rigidity and power are non-negotiable.
The 10HP, 3-phase motor delivers consistent torque for heavy roughing passes and sustained cutting operations. The 3.15" spindle bore allows larger stock to pass directly through the headstock, reducing re-chucking and secondary operations on long material.
The one-piece cast iron base provides the mass required to dampen vibration and maintain alignment across the full 80" bed length. Increased swing over gap capacity (28.7") expands clearance for oversized components and specialty workholding setups, making the GH-2180ZX the most capable ZX model for large-part turning.
Twelve spindle speeds (26–1500 RPM) provide flexibility for heavy material removal, precision threading, boring, grooving, and finishing across a wide range of materials.
