The new JET 13-inch Benchtop Helical Head Planer is designed for woodworkers who prioritize finish quality, reduced noise, and long-term cutting efficiency. With a full 13-inch planing capacity, it handles wide stock while maintaining a compact benchtop footprint. The true helical cutterhead uses 30 individually indexed carbide inserts that shear wood fibers for a cleaner surface, quieter operation, and extended edge life. Each insert can be rotated or replaced as needed to maintain consistent results without the cost of full knife replacements. A 2HP, 120-volt motor drives the cutterhead at 9,500 RPM, delivering smooth, controlled cuts on standard household power. Folding infeed and outfeed tables improve material support, a depth stop preset enables fast, repeatable setups, and the dual-size dust port connects to 2‑1/2-inch or 4-inch hoses. One-person portability and vertical storage capability make it easy to transport and store when space is limited.
